History of TEM
Stiftelsen TEM (the TEM Foundation) was established in 1981 as an interdisciplinary project at Lund University in Sweden. Back then as now, TEM sought to meet the need for knowledge transfer from private and public businesses on the one hand and universities and colleges on the other. TEM stands for Teknik, Ekonomi and Miljö.
In 1984, the project transformed into the TEM Foundation at Lund University with operations in Malmö, Lund and Sjöbo. The foundation was settled by a government decision and is a state foundation. Since 2011, TEM has offices in Malmö and Kristianstad.
Over the years, TEM has been a leading and driving actor when it comes to introducing new approaches in the environmental field, including preventive environmental protection, environmental audits, and environmentally driven product development.
When the network NCSH was founded in 2015, TEM entered a new era focused on boosting sustainable healthcare on the global arena through cross-sectoral collaboration.
